The Shire of Cold Keep is a branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). The SCA is a nonprofit educational organization devoted to the study of the Middle Ages and Renaissance. The SCA "period" is defined to be Western civilization or civilizations in contact with Western civilization prior to 1600 CE (usually from 600-1600 CE). The Shire of Cold Keep is located in the Principality of Avacal, in the Kingdom of An Tir, mundanely known as Prince George, British Columbia, Canada.
