Harvest Feast

September 9-11, 2011
Shire of Bitter End
Red Deer, Alberta

M'lords and Ladies, Prey attend! The Shire of Bitter End would welcome one and all to attend Harvest Feast here in the heart of the glorious principality of Avacal!
Bear witness to; or compete to become one of this fantastic Shire's Champions. The time is due to unseat those who have been our guides and protectors for the previous year, our heavy, rapier, archery, A&S, and Jr/Sr Youth championships are open for all to compete. Membership, and a declaration of intent (Letter/Scroll/Rune stick...etc) are required to compete for championships, and for youth there is parental consent required as well.
Once the competitions are complete it will be time to feast! This year's feast will be prepared by the McNeils and will bless your palette and fill your belly. Menu will be posted to assorted lists. There will be a Saturday donation lunch put on, as well as Sunday morning a donation breakfast.
As soon as the feasting and official businesses are attended to it will be time to enjoy the fire, sing, tell stories, and be merry. Let one and all pass the late evening and pre-dawn in the sharing of the bardic arts.
There is plenty of outdoor camping space available, and some limited indoor space.
Note that all competitions will be held out of doors, and merchants will be out of doors, unless the weather is deemed to be unfit for man or beast.
There will be no bar on site, but a canteen will be available with non alcoholic beverages and assorted munchies.
The Event Steward kindly asks that all armour bags, sword cases and bulky feast totes be removed from the hall once they are done being unloaded.
