Welcome to the land of Fire and Iron!

The Shire of Rhuddglyn is the local chapter of the SCA, the Society for Creative Anachronism. The SCA is a non-profit society dedicated to research and re-creation of elements of the Middle Ages and Renaissance history.

We reside in and around the City of Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. In the SCA we are a part of the Principality of Avacal in the Kingdom of An Tir, which is just one of 19 kingdoms throughout the world

The Shire of Rhuddglyn holds up to an average of 5 or more social/activity nights a month which may include business meetings, combat practices and A&S classes or projects. These are currently being held at Webster Niblock School on Wednesdays.

The group hosts between 2-3 formal events a year. Our members also travel to attend other events in the Principality and Kingdom.
