Their Royal Majesties An Tir, Sven and Signy and Their Highnesses Avacal, Kvigr and Shunzei wish to invite one and all to witness and participate in the tournament to choose the heirs to the Avacal Gryphon thrones.

Activities to be held during the event include:

Coronet Tournament - The tournament will be a double elimination with all SCA legal combat weapons allowed. Those that wish to enter the Lists that both combatant and inspiration must have a valid SCA membership and membership to The Avantgarde; as well, the combatant must have a valid combat authorization card.

Iron Auction - brought to you by the Irons of Avacal - Avacal, bring your pouches laden with gold, for the Iron Maul, Iron Gauntlet and Iron Arrow are sponsoring a silent auction featuring the finest of goods! All monies raised to go directly to the Avacal Travel Fund, or an Avacal Fund of Their Highnessess choice. Support your Coronet, buy cool stuff and see you at Coronet!

Rapier Tournament - Run by Don William. There will be a quick warm-up tournament to get you all awake and moving. Then, a Cadet Tournament (with ToT points) will be held. Any extra time will be usable for fun and revelry.

Archery Tournament - with an Oriental theme shoot in honour of our Princess! Run By Dalton.

Bardic - Performances and sing-alongs are encouraged throughout the event and a special item will be put on by Lord Illyanth.

Site Notes:

The campground is located in the town of Hays. There is a coffee shop with great burgers and a convenience store (Check out some of their menu - PDF). Vauxhall is only 20 mins to the west and has banks, a liquor store, Co-op Grocery store and Co-op Hardware store. The larger town of Taber is about 40 mins away.

The site opens at 3pm Friday and closes at 3pm Sunday.

• Please bring your own water.
• Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash and cleaned up after.
• All fires are to be above ground. There is not a fire ban but the town just doesn't want us digging up the ground, We do have quite a few fire pits so this shouldn't be a problem.
• Garbage bags will be provided at the gate. Please us them. There will be a tailer beside the gate at the end of the event where you can drop it off.
• Empty cans and bottles will be collected by the shire. Please put them in bags provided and drop off beside the trailer.
• There are no showers on site. There is a hotel in Vauxhall (55.50/night + tax) if a group of people want to book a room I can send out the phone number.

Site Fees
Adults - $15.00 for the weekend or $7.00 day fee. (Non-members to add $4)
Youths (age 13-17) $13 or $5 day fee.
Children (age 6--12)- $6.00 for the weekend or $3.00 day fee.
Under 6 free
Make cheques payable to "SCA-Rhuddglyn (Medicine Hat Medieval Society)"

**Please help the gate keepers and autocrat by registering in advance. There will be a $3 discount if you pre-pay prior to May 20th, 2006. Download a pre-registration form (PDF), fill it in and mail it to the autocrat.**
